Red Bull X-Alps – Maurer in the lead

One week into the race, this year’s edition of Red Bull X-Alps is looking more exciting than ever. Even after a 24h penalty for airspace infringement, title holder Christian Maurer (SUI1) is sill leading the race, with Romanian Toma Coconea currently in second place trying hard to close the margins. Behind the two, there’s a fierce battle for third place, with daily shake-ups in the rankings. With eight athletes already out of the race due to injury, airspace infringements or elimination, the competition gets even tougher as the remaining participants struggle to be the first to get to Monaco.
