zooom productions and outdoor gear manufacturer SALEWA have been on a creative expedition together since 2014. In business since 1935, the Italian company originally recruited zooom to oversee a full brand and CI relaunch that included the creation of a fresh, inspiring design language and new website.

The task now is to build on that success and continue to encourage SALEWA’s customers to ‘get vertical’ and challenge themselves in the mountains. As their lead global agency, zooom aims to do just that. After creating inspiring communication concepts as well as brand and seasonal campaigns, the Austrian agency now turns their attention to SALEWA’s range of icon products.

To promote SALEWA’s spring/summer range, zooom has been asked to create key visuals for each new product and build campaigns that appeal to three levels of consumers – the pros, the active outdoor sports fans, and those who are new to the SALEWA brand. It’s a process that involves various studio and location photoshoots and the design of both online and offline contact points. The visuals focus on key technologies, and provide enough detail and authenticity to appeal to even the most technical mountain athlete.

“For us, it’s always about creating something that’s not only visually appealing, but concise and easy to understand,” says Ulrich Grill, zooom CEO. “We’re happy with how things have gone so far, but I feel our journey with SALEWA has only just begun.”

Once work is complete, zooom will extend the campaign to several retail channels, including the creation of vouchers and flyers, and ideas for new store openings. The creative journey will also see SALEWA continue their exciting partnership with Red Bull X-Alps as an official sponsor for 2017. The high profile, zooom run, adventure race will once again provide the perfect opportunity for SALEWA to demonstrate their ‘Alpine Speed’ communications message and put their gear to the ultimate test.


zooom gives Stromer website a fresh new look

Long-time zooom client Stromer is a world renowned manufacturer of e-bikes. The Switzerland based company was founded in 2009 and promotes values of healthy living and freedom of movement. To give their corporate identity a boost in a way that lives up to their reputation, zooom’s digital team has been hard at work designing a user-friendly website that is simple, yet effective. The minimalistic black and white style offers an intuitive interface that will keep them at the top of their game within the ever-growing and competitive market in which they operate.



The world’s toughest adventure race, fully organized by zooom, starts this week! Red Bull X-Alps’ eighth edition sees 31 athletes from 20 nations hike and fly a straight-line distance of 1,138km from Salzburg to Monaco.

The race kicks off at Salzburg’s famous Mozartplatz at 11:30am on July 2, with the athletes racing towards the Gaisberg for their first take-off, from which they will make their way south towards Slovenia.Since the beginning of Red Bull X-Alps, we have been pulling the strings as the official event organizers.

Besides bringing the spectacle home to millions of fans, we’ve also been busy making exciting sponsor acquisitions: Following their first sponsor spot in 2015, Italian sportswear manufacturer and long-time zooom client SALEWA is once again the official apparel partner of the race.The countdown is on and we are looking forward to an exciting 2017 race! Internationally renowned lens manufacturer Tamron earned its reputation as early as 1957 when it became the first company to develop interchangeable lenses for SLR cameras. Since then, they have been the driving force behind many revolutionary new lenses, including innovative high-power zoom lenses.

To give the brand an extra push in 2017, Tamron appointed zooom for the delivery of their 2017 summer campaign. The brief was to capture a younger audience and communicate the benefits of their megazoom travel lenses.

To achieve these objectives, zooom has been busy with some exciting keyvisuals and creative concepts for numerous media distribution channels. Keep an eye out for the summer campaign and watch Tamron zoom with zooom!



Since its creation, Red Bull Illume has been the home for amazing action and adventure sports photography, with hundreds of pictures from the Image Quest exhibited around the world, displaying them on unique lightboxes at stunning locations in cultural hubs and capital cities.

With our many years of experience in project management, the zooom team has so far coordinated, promoted and delivered four editions of the highly successful contest. Also responsible for sponsor acquisition, we are excited to announce a new partnership for Red Bull Illume.

Joining the tour is Memento Electronics; the Canadian company behind the world´s most advanced 4K digital picture frames. The compact and portable high definition technology of the Memento Smart Frames is set to enhance the exhibition tour by bringing the images to indoor locations as well. True to the theme of illumination, the displays will make it a unique experience for all who visit.
